About

Simplify your event-based apps with Event Grid, a single service for managing routing of all events from any source to any destination. Designed for high availability, consistent performance, and dynamic scale, Event Grid lets you focus on your app logic rather than infrastructure. Eliminate polling—and the associated cost and latency. With Event Grid, event publishers are decoupled from event subscribers using a pub/sub model and simple HTTP-based event delivery, allowing you to build scalable serverless applications, microservices, and distributed systems. Gain massive scale, dynamically, while getting near-real-time notifications for changes you’re interested in. Build better, more reliable applications through reactive programming, capitalizing on guaranteed event delivery and the high availability of the cloud. Develop richer application scenarios by connecting multiple possible sources and destinations of events.

Pros & Cons from Real Users

Pros

  • Service is very robust and offers freedom in how you set up your automations. The overall system design makes sense and it is pleasant to work with. It gives you tools to solve problems. It is way cheaper then Zapier. Also Make is not limited by "no code" mindset, I appreciate it.
  • Wide Integration Capabilities: Make supports an array of applications, from popular SaaS tools to custom APIs. This connectivity allows you to automate processes across multiple platforms seamlessly. User-Friendly Interface: The drag-and-drop functionality makes it accessible for users with varying levels of technical expertise. Even those with no coding knowledge can create powerful automations quickly. Cost-Effective Pricing: Compared to its competitors, Make offers competitive pricing plans that provide good value for startups and small businesses looking to implement automation without breaking the bank.
  • Very easy to use. Great visual interface. Formation plateform via Make Partners. Almost everything is possible.
  • Easy to use, nice interface, good price for the possibilities ones get, no extra documentation necessary, very good problem handling in case of lost connections.
  • Ease of use. Compatibility with other software & apps. Webhooks & Instant triggers. Timesaving and works "on top" of other other tools.

Cons

  • Steeper learning curve then Zapier, some IT experience is very useful. It is not trivial to chain scenarios and there is no merge/join node.
  • Learning Curve: Although the platform is user-friendly, there is a learning curve when first getting accustomed to its features. Custom Code Limitations: This limitation can be a drawback for developers looking for more advanced automation capabilities. Error Messaging: Some error messages can be vague or difficult to interpret, hindering troubleshooting.
  • Some apps are missing. I don't really see something else in Cons.
  • There is still room for more connected apps. No other cons.
  • No cons that I can think of. It is constantly evolving and more integrations are added every month.
