Pros & Cons from Real Users Pros This app is easy to set up and use, making it an ideal choice for both individuals and businesses. One of the key benefits of Google Authenticator is its easy-to-use interface. I can quickly and easily add new accounts to the app by scanning a QR code or entering a secret key. Once an account has been added, the app displays the codes and time remaining for each account in a clear and concise manner. The app's cloud syncing feature also adds an extra layer of convenience, as users can access their accounts from any device by linking their Google account. Another advantage of Google Authenticator is its compatibility with a wide range of online platforms and services. I can protect both my Google accounts as well as other popular websites and apps like Facebook, Twitter, Dropbox, WordPress, Amazon and many more. The app is also fully integrated with other Google products, such as Google Ads, Google Classroom, and the Google Maps API, making it an even more valuable tool for businesses that rely on these services. Google Authenticator is a platform that I have been using for several years, and this platform has made me feel very safe to store all kinds of accounts and to be able to have two-step security in each of the personal or work accounts, I have loved the so easy way that i can add a new account to this two step verification, just by inserting some temporary code or using some QR code, i can register a new account in google authenticator. I also liked the ease with which I can export and import all kinds of keys registered on my device using Google authenticator how can I export the keys and use them on other devices just by transferring a document with this it is quite beneficial to transfer these keys to another device when needed. Also, I liked the way I can organize each of the passwords or accounts registered in this application How can I create folders and organize each of the accounts that I have registered How can I create folders for social media accounts and other folders for email accounts. Google Authenticator is a fantastic platform to receive the two-step security code, one of the main features that I liked about this platform is the cloud synchronization, since each of the two-step security accounts that platform, are It also automatically registers from my Google account, so every time I start using a new device and want to access the accounts registered in Google Authenticator, I will have access to them immediately, just by linking my Google account, This is great since on some occasions I have lost access to my main device, and I have easily been able to use another mobile device to access all the accounts that I have registered within Google Authenticator. Another of the features that I liked about this platform is that it does not present any kind of limit when it comes to linking new accounts for two-step security, I currently have more than 20 accounts linked to receive two-step codes, and in I have never presented any type of limit within this platform, I consider it very good if the user wants to register many accounts within it. The third feature that I liked about this platform is that it has a good timing when it comes to receiving new two-step security codes, since every time I go to enter my account, a temporary code is generated that lasts approximately 15 seconds, that temporality is enough for me, since I have used other platforms that offer less time to write down the generated code, I consider that it is the right time to give me comfort when writing down the generated code. The effectiveness of this platform within its operation on my mobile phone is incredible, since I mainly started using it to protect my personal accounts, after spending two months using it in its entirety, I realized that it could also protect work accounts. One of the main features that I liked about this platform is the amount of time there is for each generated code, this platform gives up to 15+ seconds to write down the overall code and to use it, then other code will be generated automatically, I find that I have a pretty decent amount of time to write down the code correctly and not get it wrong. Also, another thing I like about this platform is that I can get access to my keys from any device just by using my Google account, the Google account is immediately synced with all the keys registered within the device, that It helps a lot since when you enter that account into a new device, all those keys will be stored in that new device when you try to login from your old device. I have really loved the festivity that this platform has had, mainly because it has ported a very complete operation for personal use and for work use, in addition, it has maintained a totally stable two-step security for each of the accounts that I use, It has been able to protect my social media account, software account, cloud storage account and many more accounts, it's amazing how I can store a large number of accounts for two-step security without any limit. Google Authenticator is a service that offers many benefits when it comes to protecting various accounts, with the help of this platform you can protect any account you have registered within any service that has two-step security, this platform is very complete when it comes to register new accounts, with no limit on the number of accounts to register. Next, I will mention the positive things that Google Authenticator has. 1.- One of the main advantages of having Google Authenticator is that this platform will allow you to associate all the key registered within your Google account, that means that if for some reason you have access to your mobile device, you only need to link the account from Google to regain access to all keys previously saved in the Google Authenticator app. This synchronization of all accounts with the Google account is done automatically, in order to safeguard each of the passwords or registered accounts for two-step security. It is important to note that to link a Google account to another device and or have access to all the keys, you will have to confirm from the original device. 2.- The second positive thing that Authenticator has to do with is that it allows you to register a new account in a very different way, you can register a new security account with two steps, things just scan a QR code, but you can also register the account using a six-digit code within the app, that code will be provided when linking two-step security to any account. This variety when it comes to linking a new account for two-step security helps the user choose the one that best suits their possibilities. 3.- The third thing that I like about this platform is the account search engine, this search engine works wonderfully, since you can search for a specific account just by typing the name, for example, if you have more than 10 linked accounts Within Google Authenticator, this search engine would be quite useful, since you need to grow to a Gmail account, you just need to write that word in the search engine, the platform will automatically provide you with results related to that word. This search engine works wonderfully and instantly, providing immediate results of the written word. 4.- The fourth thing that I liked about the Google and Authenticator application is that it has all kinds of instructions that help you understand how to use the platform, when you install it for the first time on your mobile device, it will start a process to link the first account with a two-step indication, this process has all the necessary instructions to link a new account. It is important to note that you cannot skip this step to use the application, you must necessarily link your first account with two-step authentication to start using the platform. Cons This platform does not offer any backup or recovery options. This means that if a user loses their device or uninstalls the app, they may lose access to their accounts unless they have backup codes or alternative verification methods. Additionally, users must manually transfer their accounts to a new device if they switch phones, which can be a frustrating and time-consuming process. Google Authenticator does not provide additional security features for the app itself. Unlike other 2FA apps, Google Authenticator does not allow users to lock the app with a password, PIN, or biometric authentication. This means that anyone with access to the device can see and use the codes generated by the app, which could be a concern for users who share their devices with others. In addition to the lack of backup and security features, Google Authenticator also has limited customization options. Users cannot change the appearance, color, or order of accounts in the app, which can be frustrating for some users who prefer a more personalized experience. Also, users can't adjust the time interval or duration of the codes generated by the app, which could be a concern for those who prefer more control over their security settings. The real problem that I present when using Google authenticator is that on one occasion I lost my mobile device, and It was totally impossible to recover these Google authenticator accounts How to register Google authenticator on my new mobile device and I could not register or recover the accounts that were registered previously on my old device, This was really traffic for me and very negative, I think that just by having access to my Google account I could recover all my lost keys on my old device, This was quite a traffic for me and I had to renew the Two-Step Security of Multiple My Accounts When I Lost Access to My Mobile Device. The main negative feature of this platform is the design, I find the design to be quite basic, and there is no way around it either, the platform does not offer any kind of general customization feature, you cannot apply a new theme in this app, In addition, you cannot apply new colors within this application, it would be excellent to be able to modify the interface to my liking, this would help a lot to promote the community that I have within the application, the general interface that you currently have is quite simple, it is not uncomfortable Because it is easy to use, however, improvements are needed to customize the application. Another of the negative things that this platform has is that it does not have any type of system to organize the linked accounts. Currently, all the linked accounts will be displayed in list mode, and all the accounts that you have linked will be seen within the same section. Therefore, it would be excellent if this platform allows me to create folders where I can organize each of the registered accounts, in this way I would organize the social network accounts, email accounts, and company software accounts, This would help a lot to find the account I want to access without using the list view. I hope this registered account organization feature will be implemented as soon as possible to improve the search for linked accounts. Currently I do not have any type of complaint regarding the functions provided by this platform, Google Authenticator has offered an extremely good experience and functions that have provided notable benefits in the protection of each of our accounts in the company, however, the only Negative point that I have noticed about this platform is that there is no version available for computers, therefore, in order to access your entire account, you must use your mobile device to receive the two-step code. I believe that an application must be created available for computers, both for Windows and for Marcos, this would help many more users to use it and it would also facilitate access to accounts, since you would have that application installed on your computer and that of journey she is just a few steps. Google Authenticator is a service that offers a lot of guarantee when it comes to offering a two-step code for all types of accounts, that service has really fascinated me with its usefulness, however, I will also mention some negative things that I perceived about this platform. 1.- The main negative thing that Google Authenticator has is regarding its old-fashioned and simple design, I consider that this design is quite simple for all users, in addition, within the application there is no way to change the general interface of the platform, for which the user will always have to use the same design and puts the user and will not be able to change it at any time. I believe that new functions are needed to modify the general Interpol of the platform, some people would like to see their registered accounts in a different way, and not with the design that Google Authenticator offers us by default. I hope that this platform implements as soon as possible some system to modify it and make it much more attractive, according to the user's needs. 2.- The second negative thing in relation to this platform is that it does not have a system to organize registered accounts, that means that all registered accounts can only be viewed in list mode, you will not be able to integrate them in any folder To find it much easier, it would be great to be able to create different folders to integrate social networks, inbox accounts and many more, these folders would help in correctly organizing the number of accounts registered for two-factor authentication. 3.- The third negative thing and I think it is the most important is that there is currently no system for computers, you cannot use this two-step authentication system on your computer, the only way to use it is using your mobile device, which which makes you very dependent on your mobile device, since if you do not have access to it, you will not be able to access your accounts at any time, when you have the two-step notification active. I consider that it is very necessary that a new version for computers be implemented, which will be able to offer us the same two-step authentication services without using my mobile phone.
