About
Artillery is a full-stack performance and reliability testing platform that helps teams keep apps fast and reliable with load testing, scalable Playwright E2E testing, and production monitoring in one toolkit. It is modern, powerful, easy to use, incrementally adoptable, and built to work with coding agents. Engineering teams use Artillery to test and optimize applications so they stay performant and resilient under high load, testing everything from APIs to full browser experiences with the same TypeScript and JavaScript skills they already have. Artillery supports HTTP APIs, WebSocket and Socket.io services, SOAP, GraphQL, and complex web apps with real browsers. It includes built-in distributed load testing, allowing teams to run cloud-scale, multi-region tests on AWS Lambda, AWS Fargate, or Azure Container Instances without setting up or managing infrastructure.

About
Spitfire is a self-hosted load-testing and performance-monitoring platform for DevOps, QA, and SRE teams. It runs on customer infrastructure with Docker or Kubernetes, with remote runners in multiple locations that dial out without inbound ports. Users build tests without scripting in a browser-based editor or import OpenAPI, Postman, HAR, k6, and JMeter files. A test can combine HTTP, gRPC, WebSocket, Kafka, MQTT, SQL, and real browser users. Run tests as low-load production monitors every 1–60 minutes, with drift detection, SLOs, error budgets, and a status page, or as staged distributed load tests to find breaking points and performance bottlenecks. OpenTelemetry data and alerts from Datadog, New Relic, Dynatrace, Zabbix, and Instana help investigate slowdowns. A/B version comparisons can serve as CI release gates. Spitfire also includes a production-write guard, SSO/SCIM, audit logs, and offline licensing for air-gapped installations. A free edition has no expiration.
