CategoriesApryse Smart data extraction is an advanced technology that goes beyond traditional OCR. While OCR converts images of text into machine-readable text, smart data extraction uses AI and machine learning to understand the context, meaning, and relationships between different pieces of information within a document. It can identify key-value pairs, tables, and other non-textual data, turning unstructured information into a structured, usable format like JSON. Document Generation: Apryse's document generation capabilities let organizations produce accurate, on-brand documents at scale, programmatically, from data, without manual formatting work. Built primarily on the iText engine, this covers the server-side creation of PDFs and other document formats directly from templates, databases, or application data. Document Infrastructure for Modern Applications: Apryse provides the document processing and management infrastructure that powers document-centric workflows inside other companies' software. Rather than a standalone document management system, Apryse offers a suite of embeddable SDKs that let ISVs, enterprises, and developers build viewing, editing, generation, conversion, and data-capture capabilities directly into their own applications, without the overhead of maintaining that technology in-house. Apryse's IDP capabilities combine document capture, OCR, and data extraction to turn unstructured or physical documents into structured, actionable data, embedded directly into customer-facing and back-office applications rather than delivered as a standalone platform. Apryse OCR is an embeddable, self-hosted OCR SDK for offline optical character recognition. It reads scanned images and image-based PDFs, recognizes printed and machine-generated characters, and returns either a searchable PDF with a selectable text layer or structured text with position data for downstream processing. Apryse's PDF capabilities form the technical core of its product suite, a comprehensive, developer-embeddable PDF engine that handles viewing, editing, generation, conversion, and manipulation across web, mobile, and server environments. Rather than relying on a single monolithic PDF tool, Apryse gives developers granular, SDK-level control over every stage of the PDF lifecycle. Apryse Powers Cross-Platform PDF Editing: PDF editing is complex by nature. Balancing layout integrity, security, and user experience isn't trivial. Apryse gives developers flexible options to embed editing where it makes sense, with client-side editing for responsive in-app interaction or server-side editing for secure, centralized processing. Apryse's PDF SDKs are the developer-facing foundation of the entire product suite, a family of embeddable libraries that give engineering teams direct, code-level control over PDF viewing, creation, editing, and conversion, deployable across web, mobile, desktop, and server environments. |
