About

Appetier gives a restaurant its own ordering site and apps, built from its current website or from a logo and a photo of the menu. A first location goes live in minutes. Connecting a POS is optional, and it keeps prices, hours, and sold-out items matched on its own. DoorDash, Uber Eats, and Grubhub orders land in the same queue and print in the POS, with no commission from Appetier. Accepted ezCater orders join the catering calendar. Guests can order ahead, order catering, book a table, or join the waitlist on the restaurant's own site. Sous, Appetier's AI agent, answers the phone and takes pickup orders, replies to Google reviews, keeps listings current, and runs winback campaigns. The owner sets how much it does on its own. Any restaurant can run the free website audit first and see its own scores in about a minute.

Pricing

5% of direct orders, $199 cap
Growth costs 5% of the food subtotal on direct orders and stops at $199 a month per location. Tax, tips, delivery fees, and marketplace orders carry no fee. Nothing is charged until direct orders come in, and saving a card moves no money. Restaurants keep their own card processor, and Appetier adds nothing to card fees. Each location includes 1,500 marketing texts, 1,500 booking texts, and 10,000 marketing emails a month. Past an allowance, a text costs 1 cent and 1,000 emails cost $1.50, up to a monthly limit the owner sets. The limit starts at $0. AI phone answering and the drive-thru voice agent are an optional $49 Voice add-on on Growth, with 1,000 minutes a month per location and 3 cents a minute after that. Enterprise is $399 a month per location with a 30-day trial and no percentage fee. It adds supplier ordering, the Voice add-on with 2,000 minutes, twice the texts and emails, SSO, API access, your own drivers, and a named rollout contact.

Pros & Cons from Real Users

Pros

  • Most Service people are nice & prompt to reply. But somehow they may not always understand your question
  • N/A.

Cons

  • They do not disclose all the fees. I changed my service plan from $399/month to $99/month which I thought it was the only cost. But the $99/month plan has $1.99 processing fee to all the online orders & I have around 300-400 orders a month. At the end, it cost me a lot more than $399/month. I contacted them about this. They admitted that they did not disclose the fee during my request of changing the service plan. They claimed that I was informed when the sales rep did a sales presentation to showcase all their service plans & fees which is months ago. I did not know about this fee as they charge my customers directly & I found out until a customer gave us a bad review that talked about this fee.
  • They approached my business trying so hard to sell us their product. Finally convinced us to sign up. First step was to give them $100 set up fee. They called me over the phone and I gave them the credit card information and they emailed me some forms to sign. Seeing the forms, I changed my mind and call them less than 10 minutes after the phone call and ask them to stop everything, I even sent them an email declaring our change of heart in writing. Being Friday night they wanted me to wait till Monday to talk about this. I did tell them that I am not going to change my mind, but they still wanted me to think it over the weekend. I asked them to everything on pause because I knew I wouldn’t change my mind. on Monday morning I called them and asked them again to stop everything and to refund me back the set up fee. They said they cannot return the set up fee although they have not done any sort of set up at all, and I had not even signed the actual forms of agreement to continue working with them.
