About

Antigravity CLI is the terminal-first surface for interacting with Antigravity agents, built to let developers stay in their flow without context switching. It allows users to edit, orchestrate, and build in natural language by telling agents what they need and letting them work on getting it done. It is designed as the most lightweight way to invoke, monitor, and interact with Antigravity agents, with a snappy experience and minimal resource footprint for builders who live in the terminal. Antigravity CLI supports subagents, allowing multiple agents to work in parallel so larger tasks can be tackled faster. Users can delegate background tasks to concurrent agent sessions, type /agents to open the panel and monitor status, and use ctrl+k to approve tools instantly. It is highly configurable, with standard terminal shortcuts, adjustable permissions, themes, preferences through /config, and customizable keybindings through /keybindings.

About

OpenCode is the AI coding agent purpose-built for the terminal. It delivers a responsive, themeable terminal UI that feels native while streamlining your workflow. With LSP auto-loading, it ensures the right language servers are always available for accurate, context-aware coding support. Developers can spin up multiple AI agents in parallel sessions on the same project, maximizing productivity. Shareable links make it easy to reference, debug, or collaborate across sessions. Supporting Claude Pro and 75+ LLM providers via Models.dev, OpenCode gives you full freedom to choose your coding companion.

Pros & Cons from Real Users

Pros

  • Antigravity CLI looks really strong for developers who want agentic coding without leaving the terminal. I like that it brings Antigravity’s multi-step reasoning, code editing, tool use, and persistent history into a keyboard-first workflow. The subagent idea is especially interesting. Being able to spin up multiple agents in parallel could make bigger tasks feel less painful, especially when one agent can inspect code, another can work on tests, and another can handle supporting changes. I also like that it is tied into the broader Antigravity platform. The IDE, CLI, SDK, MCP support, skills, and deeper context awareness make it feel like part of a real developer ecosystem instead of a one-off command-line chatbot.

Cons

  • I would still supervise it closely. Coding agents with terminal access can make mistakes, run the wrong command, misunderstand project context, or touch files you did not expect. Google’s own GitHub README warns that AI coding agents have risks like autonomous code execution, data exfiltration, prompt injection, and supply chain issues, so I would be careful with secrets, production systems, and unfamiliar repos.

Pros & Cons from Real Users

Pros

  • OpenCode feels like a strong fit for developers who want an AI coding agent without getting locked into one model or one editor. I like that it works in the terminal, desktop, and IDE, so it can fit into different workflows instead of forcing one setup. The model flexibility is a big win. Being able to use 75+ providers, local models, GitHub Copilot, or ChatGPT Plus/Pro makes OpenCode feel more open and customizable than a lot of coding assistants. I also like the LSP support and multi-session workflow. For real coding work, it helps when the agent understands the project better and can run multiple threads of work in parallel.
  • Easy to install Easy to use Free models available with nearly no limits New models commonly get added for free

Cons

  • OpenCode is still something I would supervise closely. Any coding agent that can modify files, reason through projects, and run workflows needs clear review, tests, and good developer judgment.
  • CLI only
