About

Android Studio provides the fastest tools for building apps on every type of Android device. Create complex layouts with ConstraintLayout by adding constraints from each view to other views and guidelines. Then preview your layout on any screen size by selecting one of various device configurations or by simply resizing the preview window. Find opportunities to reduce your Android app size by inspecting the contents of your app APK file, even if it wasn't built with Android Studio. Inspect the manifest file, resources, and DEX files. Compare two APKs to see how your app size changed between app versions. Install and run your apps faster than with a physical device and simulate different configurations and features, including ARCore, Google's platform for building augmented reality experiences. Write better code, work faster, and be more productive with an intelligent code editor that provides code completion for Kotlin, Java, and C/C++ languages.

About

Build apps using our visual development environment and our easy to understand programming language that has no limits to what you can create. Drag the fully featured controls you need from the Tools Palette onto your app. Place them where you want, resize, and customise their properties to change their appearance and behaviour. In LiveCode your application is always running. You can add objects or change the code and instantly see the effect. No other language does this. Editing live applications creates a powerful workflow, so you can build your apps faster and more easily than ever. Simply toggle between ‘run’ and ‘edit’ mode. LiveCode is cross platform so you won’t have to write extra code for each platform you deploy to. This avoids having to write your app multiple times for multiple platforms saving you crucial developer time. Code once, deploy to billions of devices. LiveCode is a truly multi-platform programming tool with iOS, Android, Mac, Windows, Linux, Server & Web.

Cons

  • The con I have for this application is that it is a bit heavy on system and processor and tends to heat the device while debugging and building the APKs.

  • Android Studio is a great IDE for Android development, but there are some things that I don't like about it. First, it can be slow to start up, and it can be slow to open large projects. Second, it can be a bit buggy at times. I have had it crash on me a few times, and I have had it freeze up on me a few times. Lastly, I don't like the fact that it is based on IntelliJ, which is a Java IDE. I am not a fan of Java, so I don't like that Android Studio is based on a Java IDE.
  • - The Android emulator feels slow even on a system with decent processing power.
  • 1. It consumes and a lot of system resources when running with an emulator, which results in slow building and debugging times, especially when developing in a low-end system.
