About

Amazon AppFlow is a fully managed integration service that enables you to securely transfer data between Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) applications like Salesforce, Marketo, Slack, and ServiceNow, and AWS services like Amazon S3 and Amazon Redshift, in just a few clicks. With AppFlow, you can run data flows at nearly any scale at the frequency you choose - on a schedule, in response to a business event, or on demand. You can configure data transformation capabilities like filtering and validation to generate rich, ready-to-use data as part of the flow itself, without additional steps. AppFlow automatically encrypts data in motion, and allows users to restrict data from flowing over the public Internet for SaaS applications that are integrated with AWS PrivateLink, reducing exposure to security threats. For SaaS integrations with AWS PrivateLink enabled, data is secured from the public internet by default.

About

Like having Postman inside Salesforce! Declarative Webhooks allows users to quickly and easily configure bi-directional integrations between Salesforce and external systems using a point-and-click interface. No coding is required, making it a fast and efficient and as a native solution, Declarative Webhooks seamlessly integrates with Salesforce platform features such as Flow, Process Builder, and Apex. You can also leverage the AI Integration Agent feature to automatically build your integration templates by providing it with links to API documentation.

Pros & Cons from Real Users

Pros

  • -To start, Declarative Webhooks has an intuitive user experience. While it helps to have some experience with API's and data structure, users are able to easily create and maintain inbound and outbound integrations. -When building in Declarative Webhooks, it is easy to debug and test your solutions using the call log and "Test" feature. -Declarative Webhooks also has out-of-box features that allow you to use it from other places in Salesforce, like Flows. -Straightforward and scalable pricing.
  • I'm a Salesforce admin and used Declarative Webhooks when I'm making a request to an API when using Agentforce to connect to an external system. I really liked the latest version where with generative ai I can create JSON payloads easily instead of trying to find it from documentation.

Cons

  • Can't think of any. I've always found it does what I need it to do!
  • Needs more guides and learning materials, genai features don't work for complex payloads and situations.
