About

The Agent Development Kit (ADK) is a flexible, open-source framework for building and deploying AI agents. It is tightly integrated with Google’s ecosystem, including Gemini models, and supports popular large language models (LLMs). ADK simplifies the development of both simple and complex AI agents, providing a structured environment for building dynamic workflows and multi-agent systems. With built-in tools for orchestration, deployment, and evaluation, ADK helps developers create scalable, modular AI solutions that can be easily deployed on platforms like Gemini Enterprise Agent Platform or Cloud Run.

About

Anaconda is an AI-native development platform that helps teams move from experimentation to production with trusted open-source packages, governed environments, and production-grade orchestration. The platform provides a secure foundation for Python, data science, machine learning, and AI development across the full model lifecycle. Anaconda Core helps teams manage complex Python dependencies with validated packages, automated security scanning, and intelligent conflict resolution. The Anaconda Platform supports governed AI development so organizations can reduce broken environments, stalled deployments, and unmanaged open-source risk. Its trusted distribution is used by millions of users, developers, contributors, organizations, and Fortune 500 companies. Built for enterprise AI teams, Anaconda helps organizations accelerate open-source AI innovation while maintaining control, security, and governance.

Pros & Cons from Real Users

Pros

  • ADK feels like a serious framework for people who want to build real agents, not just quick demos. It gives developers a structured way to define agents, connect tools, coordinate multi-agent workflows, and move from local testing toward production. I like that it is open source and supports multiple languages. Python is great for AI work, but TypeScript, Go, Java, and Kotlin support make ADK more realistic for teams building inside existing engineering stacks. The production focus is the biggest advantage. ADK is built around debugging, evaluation, deployment, and reliability, which are exactly the things teams need once an agent goes beyond a prototype.

Cons

  • ADK may be more framework than you need for a simple chatbot or one-off automation. If the use case is small, a lighter tool may be faster to set up.

Pros from Real Users

Pros

  • The best thing I like about the software is that it helps to develop the code for software. It provides the environment for python coding and R programming. Also, this tool gives the easy output generating option where you can easily debug the code if there's any error.
  • If you are a Python developer then you would surely came across Anaconda once in your journey. The pros that I find with Anaconda is the tools it provides. Basically it fulfills all your requirements. Also managing and installing packages is also very simple with anaconda. It is best for Data analysts and Data scientists.
  • You can all sort of the DevOps work with ease and in a single place. It is powerful and very easy to use. It gives you generic options.
  • You can do nearly any ML work via anaconda using python. It supports all kinds of algorithms and helps a lot of plugins to make development seamless.
  • You can do any Python development on Anaconda. You can integrate your project written in Python and use ML tools to develop it accordingly. It is compelling and fully feature-packed.
  • This is probably the best Python IDE right now. You can use it for basic python programming, machine learning projects, python notebooks, etc. It is easy to use. Managing packages and libraries with this is very easy and also it is free of cost.
  • Finding and installing python libraries and frameworks is very easy with this software. And the most liked feature of mine is the python notebooks. Comes with different tools for Data science, AI and ML.
  • Anaconda's somehow become an essential part of my repertoire. There's the Jupyter notebook, which I use anytime I wish to examine my data structures and data frames, and manipulate matrixes. There's the conda package manager, which comes in handy when trying to use different cutting edge research github repositories (seriously, some of these use wildly different package versions of OpenCV, Keras, Tensorflow, and whatnot... thank goodness you can just stick it all in a custom conda environment for each project).
  • (+) Integration with most of the python based developer tools. All of those tools can be found within anaconda like Spyder, Jupyter notebooks, and many more. (+) Great UI and UX. The interface is quite good. (+) All of the latest python packages can be found easily. Support to the old and latest version of python.
