About

APITube is a News API that turns global news coverage into structured JSON. It aggregates articles from 500,000+ verified sources across 180+ countries in 60+ languages, and enriches every article before delivery: sentiment scores, extracted entities (people, organizations, locations, brands), IPTC categories, topics and industries. Developers query one search endpoint with 65+ filter parameters — keywords, language, country, source domain, source quality rank, sentiment range, entity IDs, media presence, date ranges — combined in a single request. Separate endpoints cover top headlines, clustered stories, trending values over time buckets, and a live Server-Sent Events stream; webhooks push new matches as they are indexed. Responses are JSON by default, with XML, CSV, TSV, XLSX, JSONL and Parquet exports on paid plans. Authentication is a single API key, and a hosted MCP server exposes the same search to AI assistants.

About

Our APIs (Application Programming Interfaces) allows you to programmatically access New York Times data for use in your own applications. Our goal is to facilitate a wide range of uses, from custom link lists to complex visualizations. Why just read the news when you can hack it? NYT currently has ten public APIs, archive, article search, books, most popular, semantic, Times Newswire, TimesTags, and top stories. We've designed our APIs for the web developer community, but all non-commercial users are welcome. Like many organizations, we hope to encourage innovation through collaboration. When you build applications, create mashups, and otherwise reveal the potential of our data, we learn more about what our readers want and gain insight into how news and information can be reimagined. We're hoping you'll show us what's next for The Times. Our APIs use a RESTful style and a resource-oriented architecture. Calls are made via HTTPS requests.
