Pros & Cons from Real Users Pros As the Vice President of Operations in the Medical industry in Poland, I’ve been using AMFG for a year now. This platform has really streamlined our production workflows, ensuring everything is secure and organized. It offers full traceability and helps us manage complex parts and post-processing jobs effectively. Plus, it keeps track of reprints and integrates smoothly with our machines, which has boosted our efficiency and cut down on errors. AMFG also promotes transparency across departments, making sure everyone stays aligned and informed. I've been using AMFG for about a year and a half here in the USA, where I work as the Head of Supply Chain Operations in the Production industry. AMFG really shines with its real-time monitoring features, which allow us to make quick, data-driven decisions. It helps us maintain repeatable 3D printing processes, ensures that we have consistent quality across different batches, and provides solid analytics to enhance our workflow and printer usage. I've been using AMFG for about 10 months now in the automotive industry as a CNC Machinist here in the USA. This platform has really streamlined our production workflows and quality control processes. It’s super easy to keep track of post-processing jobs, manage reprints, and uphold our strict quality standards. Plus, the security features do a great job of protecting sensitive information. Overall, AMFG has helped us save time, cut down on errors, and boost efficiency in our daily operations. As the Head of Production in the Aerospace sector, I've been using AMFG for the past three months here in the USA, and I can honestly say it has made a remarkable difference in our production and inventory management. The platform makes it super easy to store and manage CAD files for parts that we frequently need, and it allows our customers to reorder critical fixtures and vices without any hassle. The inventory management system is a game-changer, ensuring that we always have essential components on hand, which is crucial for our contingency planning. Plus, the production tracking and automatic rescheduling features give us complete visibility and help keep our workflows running like a well-oiled machine. I've been using AMFG for about 11 months now in the medical sector here in Canada, and I can honestly say it has revolutionized how we handle production and orders. The platform’s real-time planning and automation features have really helped us simplify our complex workflows. Plus, the custom automation workflows have cut down on manual tasks and significantly reduced errors. The traceability feature is a game-changer, giving us complete visibility into order progress, which has really boosted our internal coordination and communication with clients. Thanks to AMFG, we've been able to shorten our quoting times, minimize production errors, and effectively support our growth strategy. Cons On the downside, the setup process can be a bit of a maze, with multiple steps and pages that might confuse new users and take up a lot of time. I think the operator interface could use some enhancements, like a “do today” view to help prioritize tasks better. One downside is that the platform's change management capabilities are somewhat limited. Making adjustments to ongoing print jobs in real time isn’t as flexible or user-friendly as it could be. The biggest downside I’ve encountered is the initial setup process, which can be a bit tricky. Configuring the machines requires multiple steps across different pages, and it’s easy to accidentally misconfigure some settings. A more straightforward, step-by-step setup guide would really help new users get onboarded more smoothly and lessen the learning curve. One area that could use some work is managing customer expectations. While AMFG does a fantastic job of optimizing our internal processes, there are times when customers have certain assumptions about what's feasible, which can lead to misunderstandings. Providing more guidance on the customer-facing order features would really help improve communication and transparency. That said, the system can be a bit finicky when it comes to misconfigurations, which makes long-term maintenance a bit tricky. Also, the documentation could use some improvement, especially for those advanced workflow setups; clearer instructions would definitely make onboarding and troubleshooting a lot smoother.	Pros & Cons from Real Users Pros Orange Logic is the only Digital Asset Management Platform (DAM) worth using. They are the only few DAMs that offer: • Asset AI Meta Tagging for Video and Image • Best for enterprise companies, small & large, don't get charge by the user seat. • White Glove service, every business is unique and they were the only solution that offered what we needed and how we wanted it to be customized for our company. • Easy to use platform and it does the work itself, I spend 1 hour a week managing everything. • Custom Integrations with our Software and Online Tools. It is very intuitive to use - both front and back-end. It is easy to configure and adaptable. The support team is responsive. Cortex makes it easy to upload, share, and download media files. It integrates with the Adobe suite and allows for our creative team to work remotely off proxy files. It's a flexible platform, and our integration team has been a joy to work with. The ease of creating multiple metadata mappings and the ability to batch edit on every field are considerable upsides to Cortex. These features work with relative ease compared to other products I've used over the years. My favorite feature of Orange Logic \| Cortex is their ticketing system, Link, where I can raise a defect, ask a question or request an enhancement. I can assign priorities ranging from critical to normal or even long-term. At any time I can log onto Link to see their status. Answered tickets are archived, so I have a complete picture of our evolving digital asset management system. Cons The only thing I was unhappy with was the time it took them to create our DAM system, but after the time it took to get it up and going, I can proudly say it was worth the wait for the setup. The system itself is excellent, but I think we all know it's the most low-cost system, which does cause some friction internally. I'm getting really nit-picky here, but I'd love for Cortex to support additional S3 storage tiers to save money on our cloud storage bill. It's on their roadmap though You can tell that Cortex was built to accommodate a wide variety of use cases. While that may play well for Orange Logic in attracting customers, it can be an overbearing product for end users. It took me several months to wade through the sea of Cortex functionality and hone in on what worked for my needs. Once you get through that, the product does well, but it feels like Cortex tries to be too many things at once. Orange Logic \| Cortex is a very granular, robust product. I know that I'm missing out on some features, but as the only power user, I simply don't have time to delve into all of them.
