Pros & Cons from Real Users Pros After 5 years and many many phone calls and emails to this company, I honestly cannot find one good thing to say about this company. The only thing that can be offered is just how bad they really are and what a mistake it was to go with them. In the beginning it was a great system, but!!!! They have a lot of issues and anomalies in the program. Cons This software was the most glitchy software known to this industry. It never worked as per the law. Items would reappear as available out of no where and could not be redisposed. It was never compliant and the people working there were never willing to help. I was told I had to purchase a plan that would allow them to help us so I did and they never helped us. We were abandoned and out thousands of dollars. There is sooo much more negative to say, but if your A&D books are important to you, do not use this horrible software!!!!! Simple to use, but the problem is they are terrible about staying in compliance with the software. They were not aware of most recent ATF ruling that changed the way the bound book was processed until my current inspection. In order to contact the support to request a compliance update you are required to pay a monthly rated years support in advance, only to be told that the update wont be available for 30 to 60 days. Plus they wanted me to do an expensive cloud migration in order to be first on the update list. I asked to be refunded for the for a one month prorated amount of the support and was told all sales final whether I use it or not. Then out of nowhere they threatened to delete my bound book and shut off my access to the program if I reversed the support charge on my credit card. The following morning when I opened my shop, the program was blocked, and my info not accessible. Granted, I purchased the program and licensing as a stand alone system from Brownell's in 2012, and was told that compliance upgrades were free. After challenging them over the shutdown due to the ATF IOI inspector demanding the access to the information they restored my access and again threatened me that they would delete my bound book files and 4473's if I reversed the credit card charge. Note: it is a title 18 felony to delete, destroy or alter federal records subject to a penalty of 10 years and $10,000 per occurrence. At 107400 records that is $1074000000.00 in fines and 1074000 potential years in federal prison.		Pros from Real Users Pros Everything works as it should. Its fast and easy to use. The interface is very intuitive and the receipt print out has all the important information on it. Complete, easy to use, intuitive. Easy to install. Great Customer Service. I see any reason not to buy FastBound. I have referred many of my friendly FFL's. So far everything from customer service and response time to the efficient program structure. Multiple firearms forms filled in quickly. Customer support is almost instant its great to have a tool like this in the gun business its a must have at my store. Startup ease. Low cost software. Good application navigation. Reporting extract setup using Swagger. Very quick to support questions when we started. The application is designed extremely well we only had two questions we posted and the answers were addressed immediately. Good cycle counting/inventory verification. Definitely was a skeptic in the very beginning, but now that I have been using it for a few months it is the best thing I have done for my time and peace of mind in the 3 years I've been in business. Data entry time is cut by 75% if not more. Very user friendly and intuitive. I'm a luddite and it's easy for me to use. I'd highly recommend Fast Bound to anyone. User friendly interface that just makes sense. Keeps us compliant. Makes past transaction lookup a breeze. All the information you need is right where you need it. Ease of use, sending multiple forms, ability to print labels from the platform. Also can download and update daily. This product replaced another program which didn't provide any support after paying for renewal. It was server based and after my server crashed, I was unable to get support to get it working in a client server environment. I chose Fastbound because it allowed me to continue to service my customers during the pandemic by allowing my customers to complete their 4473 online via my Ipad while entering information at my outdoor patio. I loved being able to go directly into ATF Echeck and obtain approval within the program. I love completing the 4473 digitally with signatures and simply printing out the final product. Also, I love the bound book feature and online help from the developers of Fastbound is 1st rate and quick.
