This project is an extension for the ZenCart shop system. It provides a new product type which is aimed at selling books.

Features

Extra product description fields tailored for books
Extra database tables for authors, publishers, genres and some other book related data
Separate listings for authors, series, publishers, imprints, genres
Filtering of products based on author, publisher, genre etc. (same as above)
Extra product attributes also displayed in "product listing" views, e.g. search results
Conversion of existing products in shop system to product type book
Completely configurable via ZenCart admin backend and CSS
Cross references to "books by same author"
Very little modification to ZenCart core files necessary
Selection of New and Upcoming products based on publishing date
