This project is an extension for the ZenCart shop system. It provides a new product type which is aimed at selling books.

Features

  • Extra product description fields tailored for books
  • Extra database tables for authors, publishers, genres and some other book related data
  • Separate listings for authors, series, publishers, imprints, genres
  • Filtering of products based on author, publisher, genre etc. (same as above)
  • Extra product attributes also displayed in "product listing" views, e.g. search results
  • Conversion of existing products in shop system to product type book
  • Completely configurable via ZenCart admin backend and CSS
  • Cross references to "books by same author"
  • Very little modification to ZenCart core files necessary
  • Selection of New and Upcoming products based on publishing date
