Очень здоровская вещь! Но мне лично не хватает одной опции: какие-то значки в одной теме есть, а в другой -- нет. Хотелось бы, чтобы --window-icon и --image могли иметь значение как в font-family ("inode-directory, folder, inode-directory-symbolic, folder-symbolic"), а YAD при отсутствии первого ставил бы следующий в списке, а только не найдя ни одного, ставил свой. К тому же, gio info выдаёт данные о значке именно в таком виде.

Yad is extremely versatile and relatively lightweight, a vastly superior alternative to Zenity which we use extensively in our Debian-based thin client O/S (ThinLinX TLXOS). Some of its complex uses have rather non-obvious and under-documented syntax, but to date it has always been able to achieve what I wanted!

After over 30 years of programming in everything imaginable, I've settled into doing everything I need in bash shell script and whatever the best tool or language is available for the task at hand. And nothing streamlines GUI interaction better than YAD. Consistent, logical options and functionality, solid reliability and performance, and faithful adherence to Linux standards and practices make YAD a joy to use. Highly Recommended!
