  • This is a surprisingly accomplished Wordpad replacement which needs more work done to it. In particular there is a problem with saving as a 'Wordpad' file which produces a file with the 'wrd' ending and which displays formatting information when it is opened in Word. As the alternative formats for saving files are Wordit, txt and html this makes Wordit useless for producing formatted texts. Since eight years have passed since the alpha version was released I assume that the developer has long since lost interest in the project. Another half baked Sourceforge project that serves only to waste people's time. Update 20-02-2017 I stumbled upon this program once again in my perennial search for the perfect Wordpad alternative and I marveled at it's ineptitude, especially the lack of a page setup dialogue box and a Paragraph menu. It's about time Sourceforge started weeding out rubbish like this so we don't keep wasting our time it.
  • WordIt is in alpha, it's pretty stable (but has some problems saving...) I think it will be a good word processor once it gets some more work done on it.
