  The Saints and Sinners II (Altar Call) scripture of Salem, The Witch City Linux
  Desktop Environment, was released during the Witching Hour on Monday morning,
  July 20, 2026.

  This is the 2nd release from the "Saints and Sinners (Altar Call)" branch.
  With this release, we add Witch-City-Linux-specific package builds for celluloid, 
  cwm, frankenwm, fvwm-crystal, xnedit, and the Common Desktop Environment (CDE).

  Wallpapers for WCL-XDM must be installed separately (see wcl-xdm directory for
  builds, packages, and sources of the wcl-xdm_wallpapers). The basic XDM screen
  w/o images should serve satisfactorily, though.

  To install Salem, extract the download file (tar -I zstd -xvf salem.tar.zst),
  enter the WCL folder, and run the "possess" script. To remove it, run the
  "exorcise" script.  Swine to cast daemons into is not included.

  Arch Linux Package Available!  Download it from Salem/pkg. Install it using
  pacman: $ sudo pacman -U Salem-Saints_And_Sinners_II_Altar_Call-0-x86_64.pkg.tar.zst

  Or, "build" (a bit of a stretch) the beast yourself and install it with the
  salembuild tarball.
