Excellent simple tool set that works from the command line without fail. At same time it is an eye-opener that the HD M$ Lifecam Cinema just works when plugged into the mac with os x 10.6.8 :) . Definitely better video than with the build-in ISight!

Brilliant and very useful tool. With the introduction of a feature that disables the iSight camera 'green light' this could be used for security purposes.

would be nice if there are other video recording options, like setting framerate and encoding for audio/video. I couldn't get YUV to playback in VLC or QT. Still this is a great tool! Thanks!!
