Video Speed Controller is a browser extension that gives users precise control over HTML5 video and audio playback. It works across many websites instead of depending on the controls offered by each individual player. Users can raise or lower playback speed, rewind, skip forward, reset the rate, and jump between a current and preferred speed. Its configurable range supports both unusually slow playback and speeds far beyond the limits of most media sites. The extension can remember settings, enforce a chosen rate when a site tries to change it, and apply rules by domain. A movable on-screen indicator keeps the current speed visible without replacing the original player.
