Cross-platform software for producing Veroboard (stripboard), Perfboard, and 1-layer or 2-layer PCB layouts. Automatically prevents short-circuits and checks for open-circuits. Pre-compiled versions available for MS Windows and 64-bit Linux Mint 20.3 (should also run on other 64-bit Linux systems that are based on Debian and support Qt version >= 5.12.8). Android APK available (tested on Android 7 and Android 10) and requires device resolution of at least 1280x800.

User Reviews

  • I'm a long-time user of DIYLC, but it demands a lot of visual checking that connections are correctly made, and when designing on stripboard (vero) that track cuts are made. I recently designed my first board using veroroute, and I'm hooked! The workflow makes it simple to prototype a circuit on stripboard and then take the same circuit and adapt it to a PCB design, saving many hours of work. The tutorials enabled me to get the hang of how to make connections, and within an hour or so I was happily converting my schematic to a layout. My one and only wish at this point is that it was available as a native macOS application. I have not yet explored whether I can run on macOS using Wine, but will do that shortly. Thanks for this excellent piece of software Alex!
  • This is a surprisingly nice layout program. I was a bit confused about how it worked, but after the tutorial it all made sense. I like the unique design approach a lot. I think this just replaced kicad for me. Thanks to the developers for all their effort.

  • Remarkably simple, efficient, and effective for laying out simple prototype circuits.
  • Great job!
  • Best tool for veroboard and perfboard. Excellent for planning the boards for soldering. Hand milling/drilling copper PCB is easy planned with Veroroute. Excellent support from the program author.
