# Valtux OS 1.0

Valtux OS is a custom Linux system built on Debian, designed for everyday users
who want to breathe new life into their existing PC — especially those moving
away from Windows 10 as Microsoft ends its support.

No technical knowledge required. Valtux OS works like a modern, familiar desktop
right from the first boot.

- Modern KDE Plasma desktop (Wayland)
- Full multimedia support out of the box (video, music, web browsing)
- NVIDIA graphics drivers included
- PipeWire audio — works with headphones, speakers, HDMI
- LibreOffice for documents and spreadsheets
- Firefox for browsing
- Automatic hardware detection

## System requirements

- 64-bit PC (x86_64)
- 4 GB RAM minimum (8 GB recommended)
- USB drive (8 GB+) to boot from

## Getting started

1. Write the ISO to a USB drive (e.g. with Ventoy or Balena Etcher)
2. Boot your PC from the USB drive
3. Valtux OS starts live — no installation needed to try it
