Osiris: Osiris was a god in Egyptian myth a Neter or Nature Spirit who consumated with his brother's wife and thus incured his wrath. After his brother murdered him in retaliation, his wife Aset or Isis picked up the pieces and restored her husband, all but one piece which she fashioned out of natural materials and later bore him a son who continuously fought his uncle for retribution against him for the death of his father. Osiris or Wesir became known as foremost of the Westerners, a title which represented his passing into the other world where he held a seat presiding over the judgement of the souls of men. Wesir later became synonymous with the rich fertile soil the Nile brought with it during the annual inundation.
