Horus: A warrior/sky god neter of Ancient Egypt. Horus was the son of Isis and Osiris (Aset Ausir). Horus vowed vengeance on his uncle Set who murdered his father and chased his mother all over the world, thus he lost his eye while in battle and it was replaced by Isis with the aid of Thoth the god of writing. The ancient pharoahs of Egypt were said to be gods on earth who were said to be Horus incarnate. They intermediated on the peoples behalf.
