This version lets you confirm which game each of your games is, so community translations are found and your publications are filed under the right game, even when the game's files give a short or wrong name. Games run through Proton or Wine on Linux are now seen as running.
Choosing the right game
New features
- Confirm which game this is. A game's card shows its name marked Detected or Confirmed, and Change beside it opens a list to pick the game: each entry shows its cover, store ids, year and makers, to tell two games of the same name apart. The choice is kept in the game, and UGT Mod uses it too.
- Change works without an account. You can point a game detected under the wrong name at the translations already shared for it.
- Several games with the same name are said on the card, with a request to confirm the right one.
- When the site files the installed translation under another game, the card says so, with Switch game and a confirmation. Nothing changes without your click.
- View on website beside the translation's line opens it on the website: in My translations when it is yours, otherwise its page.
Enhancements
- Publishing asks you to click the game in the list, likeliest first, instead of taking the first answer on your behalf. The game you picked is sent as it is, so the site no longer searches its title again and files it under another game of the same name.
- Searches use the name the card shows, not the short internal name some games carry in their files, which no store knows.
- Community translations are searched by the game you confirmed, then by the Steam id, then by name.
- A game the site cannot identify is said before sending, with what to try.
Linux
Bug fixes
- Games run through Proton or Wine are seen as running. UGT Manager could miss them and write into an open game; it now protects them like native games.
Settings and AI bench
Enhancements
- The update notice says which copy is out of date when you open a downloaded copy on a computer where UGT Manager is installed: the installed copy, this copy, or both. If this copy is already the latest, the installed copy is updated from it, without a download.
Bug fixes
- A key changed inside the game is no longer overwritten by the one-click with the key chosen before.
- The source language is settled once the translation holds lines, as in UGT Mod: choosing one that settles it is said before it is applied.
- Pasting text that starts with a line break into a one-line box no longer pastes nothing.
- A missing year or id in a store's answer no longer breaks the whole game list.
- AI bench: a model that hands the source text back untranslated now fails the case, and six new cases test tags placed inside a sentence.
Shared with UGT Mod and the website
Enhancements
- The same words for a game's identity (Detected, Confirmed, Change, Switch game) in UGT Manager, UGT Mod and on the website.
- Exporting fonts finds the font file the same way UGT Mod does.
