Games whose build left out part of .NET or of Unity's own modules can now be set up: the Manager finds what is missing and adds it, from a source you choose.

Compatibility

New features

  • Games missing libraries the mod needs. Some games ship without parts of .NET, or with Unity's engine modules cut down. The loader started, the mod stopped at load, and the Manager called the game ready. It now reads what each game lacks, shows it in a Compatibility card, and adds the missing files beside the game — with the one-click, or on their own. Removing them puts the game back as it was.
  • You choose where the files come from: a Unity editor on this computer, another game on this computer, or Unity's own server. Only the part of Unity's package that holds them is downloaded, and it is kept for the next game on the same version. Every engine module is checked for Unity's signature.
  • Told before, once. The first time files come from Unity's server or from another game, the confirmation says so in full — Unity's terms, or that UnityGameTranslator does not host or answer for another game's files — and asks you to tick that you understand. After that, only the source is named. Settings can show the notice again.

Enhancements

  • A game refused only because its runtime library was cut down is no longer refused when complete libraries can be added.
  • A refusal gives its real reason. Games on Unity's old .NET 3.5 runtime now say so: the mod cannot load on it.
  • "Let me try anyway" lasts until the Manager is closed, and after that only while what it let you install is still in the game.

A game's card

Enhancements

  • Changing something on a card updates it in place: no blank, no replayed animation, and it stays where you had scrolled.
  • A card being read shows the turning gear and the step it is on.

Bug fixes

  • A card could keep its old state after an act took the game out of the filtered list, until you clicked elsewhere.
  • The count of games that cannot be modded, at the top of the window, only changed on a rescan.
