Installing, updating and removing now say what they are doing instead of freezing the window. The list of games no longer stalls for seconds after a launch.
Installing, updating, removing
New features
- The window darkens and says what is being applied. The gear turns in the middle, with the step it is on underneath — downloading, installing, applying your settings. A one-click lists the acts you just confirmed and ticks them off one by one, and a step that fails is marked where it failed.
Enhancements
- The work happens in the background. Installing, uninstalling, putting a game's own files back, taking or removing a translation: all of them ran on the window's own thread, so the window froze for as long as they took and could not even draw a progress bar.
- What is under the veil cannot be pressed or reached with the keyboard while an act is writing into a game.
Bug fixes
- A translation whose download failed no longer changes the game's language.
The list of games
Bug fixes
- The list froze for several seconds just after launch. Every answer of the community lookup — one per game — rebuilt what the tool knows about every game, re-reading every translation file three times. On sixty games that is a quarter of a second per answer, forty times over.
A game's card
New features
- A translation forked from somebody else's now says so, and names the author when the site can be asked. It was read from the published entry alone, so a fork still sitting on this machine credited nobody — which is every fork until somebody publishes it.
manager reportprints the same line.
Bug fixes
- The one-click stayed grey when "Set it up in the game" was waiting to be applied, while the block above it offered exactly that.
- After answering the mod's Setup inside the game, a game now moves to "Set it up here" with what you answered in place, instead of offering to reopen the Setup for ever.
- Installing only the mod loader filed away answers it had not written, so a choice made just before could be lost without a word.
Settings
Enhancements
- Updating the tool and installing Ollama darken the window the same way, with the download's progress under the gear.
- An AI server address written as "localhost" is read as 127.0.0.1 — one spelling for one machine, so a game still carrying the old one is no longer reported as differing from your defaults.
- Saving your settings no longer re-derives the key that protects your keys and tokens.
Shared with the mod and the site
- How a local address is spelled, and what a translation's standing is, are decided in one place for the three products — so what this tool says about a game matches what the game itself says.
- Where a forked translation came from is worded once for the three, including the case nobody can answer: offline, or a source that has left the site, reads as "Forked" and never as a deleted account.
