Important warning

This build is ONLY for the Samsung Galaxy Tab A7 Wi-Fi SM-T500 / gta4lwifi.

Do NOT flash this on:

• SM-T505
• SM-T505C
• SM-T505N
• SM-T507
• gta4l LTE models
• Any other Galaxy Tab A7 variant

This is a developer preview build, not an official Ubuntu Touch release. Flashing custom images can soft-brick your device. You are responsible for your own tablet.

Which file should I download?

Download the large full install pack:

Do not use the small audio-wifi install-layer tarball by itself as the main installer. That small file is only the post-install helper layer and is already included inside the full install pack.

• Boots Ubuntu Touch 24.04
• Lomiri UI works
• Touch works
• Wi-Fi works
• Speaker audio works
• YouTube audio confirmed working
• Volume keys work after the audio layer starts

Known unfinished items

Still needs more work:

• Bluetooth
• Camera
• Some Settings panels may need cleanup
• Installer polish
• LTE variants are not supported by this build

Project notes

This port was not developed from the stock Samsung ROM source tree. The Android/Halium side comes from a working LineageOS 19.1 / Android 12 / Halium 12 stack for gta4lwifi.

Samsung stock Android 12 firmware is still recommended as the device firmware and partition baseline before installing this port. VBMeta disable / AVB disable is required for this type of custom install.
