TU Calc is a modular tool that aims to gather numerical methods for solution of mathematical problems. Interacting with the user through a GUI that is analogous to the windows desktop.
Features
- Free and open source
- Interface is designed in a modular form
- With an intermediate complexity between a simple scientific calculator and advanced software as FreeMat
- The program does not do symbolic manipulation. As its name implies, it performs numerical calculations
- Currently it has the following modules: Calculator, SLE Solver, Models and Formulas, Formula editor, DFM Editor, Data fit XY
- Calculator: scientific decimal calculator capable of interpreting expressions (simple or iterative), store values in variables and manage these values
- SLE Solver: Solve systems of linear equations, up to 32767 unknown variables
- Models and Formulas, Formula editor: GUI to evaluate formulas and the allows creating them
- DFM Editor, Data fit XY: fit a model y = f (x) to a series of tabulated data [x, y]. The first lets you define a method, the second adjusts the model, using this method
- Possibility of using cubic splines for exact data fit
