Very handy tool for inputting Chinese without additional hardware and more convenient than using the mouse. Work pretty well except as someone pointed out the end stroke sometimes unexpectedly ended in the lower left. I am using it with 64 bit windows 7 ultimate. Not sure if it would work with home version of windows 7 or windows 8 and above. 2020 update It has been a while since I comment on this software. Looks like there has been no update or improvement to it. If you are looking for handwriting input using the laptop touchpad, there is a another input method you should look into. 訊飞 (iFly) can handle handwriting input on the touchpad, on screen using a mouse, voice input of many Chinese dialects and English, also voice input from a mobile device that is sync to the PC. The voice to text function is very accurate. Give it a try.
