✨ What’s New
This is a major release, bringing a complete rewrite of the project. The entire codebase has been rewritten in Kotlin. This brings many advantages such as:
- A better integration with Android, allowing for more complex features
- Reduced battery usage
- Reduced app size due to the removal of the Flutter binary
⚠️ Breaking Changes
This is the first Kotlin release, so bugs are to be expected. It has a script that should automatically migrate the Flutter Hive setup to the new Kotlin database, but please do a backup before updating! The Flutter Hive storage is not removed after update, so if something goes wrong with the updated you can just reinstall the older version for now and report the issue. I will try my best to help you with the data migration.
📝 Additional Notes
Kotlin is a bit new to me and I have verified the migration to the best I could. I might have missed something and there will be bugs I overlooked. Please report everything wrong so I can improve it for the next release! Additionally, there are now two files only, because the APK is much smaller!
