3bench (benchmarking based on 3 processes) is a benchmarking tool that is able to work in two modes: (1) the classical two processes, client and server; and (2) using three processes, client, server, and router. This last mode allows users to evaluate the path between the client and the router, as well as the path between the client and the server, which would give extra information about possible performance issues in the network.
