To install Military Forces 2: * download it from the osfpsproject files section; at the moment of writing it's not yet complete though so you'll have to wait a bit longer * if you're impatient though and want to get a first impression, you can use the regular MilitaryForces (1) game (download from the moddb site; http://www.moddb.com/mods/military-forces-quake-3) ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- To install NSCOET together with the MF2 implements: * download NSCOET from http://www.moddb.com/mods/navy-seals-covert-operations-et/downloads ; it's basically a mod for ET Legacy, so you need to download that as well * go to http://www.etlegacy.com or from the OSFPS sourceforge site (see files section)) to download enemy territory: legacy (fromand uncompress it; you should then have a folder called "/etlegacy-v2.74-win32/", or something similar (depending on whether you use windows, linux, ... * download the enemy territory game from http://www.splashdamage.com/content/download-wolfenstein-enemy-territory, uncompress it and add the pak0.pk3, pak1.pk3, pak2.pk3 in your /etmain/ folder in /etlegacy-v2.74-win32/ * make a new folder called /milforces_etl/ in your /etlegacy-v2.74-win32/ folder * download the ported Military Forces game from http://www.moddb.com/mods/militaryforces-et/downloads * uncompress the contents from the downloaded Military Forces game to /milforces_etl/ in your /etlegacy-v2.74-win32/ folder * make sure you add MFmap_skillpoints_patch_for NSCO_alpha 8 to the game folder (download from the same website mentioned) * also make sure you add the latest MilitaryForces media pk3 to your game folder as well (download from https://sourceforge.net/projects/theosfpsproject/files/MilitaryForces2/mediapk3s/ ) * optionally, you can also add additional maps from the download page here at the osfpsproject sourceforge site Finally, note that after you played NSCOET for the first time and a profile has been created, a file named etconfig.cfg will have been made containing your keybinds. The location of that file depends on what operating system you're using: * on Windows XP: C:\Documents and Settings\YOUR_USER\My Documents\ETLegacy\legacy\profiles\YOUR_DEFAULT_PROFILE\etconfig.cfg * on Windows Vista/7/8: C:\Users\YOUR_USER\Documents\ETLegacy\legacy\profiles\YOUR_DEFAULT_PROFILE\etconfig.cfg * on Linux: /home/YOUR_USER/.etlegacy/legacy/profiles/YOUR_DEFAULT_PROFILE/etconfig.cfg If you are unsatisfied with your keybinds, manually editing this file and/or modifying the default.cfg file found in one of the .pk3's in your milforces folder will change your keybinds. Another way is to use the in-game menu off-course where you too can change the keybinds.
