Installation

• Textream.dmg — for macOS 26 Tahoe and later (recommended, includes Liquid Glass effects)

• Textream-macos15.dmg — for macOS 15 Sequoia

• Download the DMG for your macOS version.

• Open the DMG and drag Textream to Applications.
• Open Textream normally. The app is signed and notarized by Apple.

Or install via Homebrew:

Highlights

• A new Reading settings pane brings together reading position, paragraph dividers, last-spoken words, and keep-awake controls.
• Choose Centered or Near Top reading position with steadier tracking, correct live-preview geometry, and animated preview transitions.
• Optional paragraph breaks now appear as subtle three-dot dividers with more breathing room.
• Remote viewers can mirror the teleprompter independently per device, including URL presets with ?mirror=1 and ?mirror=0.
• Start the prompter directly from the editor with Command–Return.
• Director Mode now preserves paragraph breaks during live edits and protects the confirmed read prefix more reliably.
• The compact notch has improved spacing around its controls and a softer text fade near the bottom.
• A complete guide at textream.net/docs documents every setting, script cues, the URL scheme, and Director API examples in Swift, JavaScript, Python, and Node.js.
• The source tree now includes Textream for iPhone and iPad, with Word Tracking, Classic and Voice-Activated guidance, camera recording, saved recordings, and landscape mirror controls. Mobile distribution is handled separately through the App Store.

Fixes and polish

• Fixed Near Top positioning in Classic and Voice-Activated settings previews.
• Fixed paragraph preservation in the Director browser editor.
• Fixed Reset All so it also restores speech language and Hide from Screen Sharing.
• Restricted Remote and Director custom ports to 1024–65534, preserving the required WebSocket port.
• Improved live layout recalculation after font and overlay-size changes.
• Made PowerPoint presenter-note imports reliable in the Mac App Store sandbox.
