The Texter installer is in Russian and it installs Russian language modules for .NET 4. This is completely unnecessary as it runs just fine with the .NET 4 Framework already on most Windows PCs. The installer does make a restore point and you can uninstall the Russian .NET from add/remove programs if you can understand Russian. A better option is to avoid using the installer and instead use Universal Extractor to extract the files that would be installed in the Texter Program Files folder from texter.msi. The disadvantage of this method is that the help file is not available. The program offers little that is not already available in other more accomplished lightweight word processors like Crypt Edit and Atlantis NOVA which have tabbed document interface. It is inferior to the Microsoft Wordpad in that the ruler does not have margin controls, there is no page setup and there are no controls for paragraphs in the format menu. However, it will encrypt an rtf file and it can save documents as html or xml in addition to rtf and txt.
