Texel - Tagging like excel. An MP3 (and similar) tagger with a spreadsheet look and feel. Based on KDE, Qt, taglib, boost. Written in C++. Needs KDE 4.3, QT 4.5 and a modern Linux version.

  • Fuzzy duplicate detection: Find also duplicates with spelling mistakes
  • FreeDB lookup (even when track info are missing)
  • Offline editing and deleting of tracks (executed in batch so no need to have server directories connected all the time)
  • Powerful expression parser to build automated complex tags
  • Cover image online searching (Google, Amazon, more to configure) for MP3 IDV2/MP4
