Remote Connection Reliability

Connection Lifecycle Simplification

• Scoped connection teardown to individual connections rather than device-wide operations, preventing unintended disconnections when multiple connections exist
• Implemented deterministic peer replacement reporting to ensure consistent state transitions during authentication supersession
• Retired peers whose handshakes were superseded mid-authentication to prevent stale connection attempts

Heartbeat and Liveness Detection

• Added heartbeat-based connection liveness probing to detect and recover from silent peer failures
• Enforced one live peer per device with explicit lane liveness tracking to eliminate ambiguous connection states
• Covered repeated reconnect cycles end-to-end with new test coverage

WebRTC Transport Improvements

Data Channel and Window Management

• Probed zero receive window conditions and serialized data-channel flush operations to prevent buffer deadlocks
• Applied Werift SCTP zero-window probe patch to handle edge cases in flow control
• Selected appropriate Werift runtime based on platform capabilities

Desktop Integration

• Connected outward over the selected Werift runtime in the Electron app, ensuring consistent transport selection across platforms

Testing and Diagnostics
