Terminay v2.4.0 bridges the WebRTC application transport for remote desktop access, enabling full canonical terminal and workspace traffic over authenticated peer connections.

Remote access refinement

WebRTC application transport

The embedded WebRTC exposure now routes complete terminal input/output, workspace mutations, and subscriptions through authenticated data channels instead of falling back to legacy compatibility channels. The privileged runtime loads an integrity-pinned Werift peer in the main process, eliminating the hidden renderer window and preserving security boundaries.

Desktop WebRTC availability

Desktop builds now report WebRTC exposure availability accurately before a user attempts to start it. Missing authenticated signaling registrars, required runtime artifacts, or incompatible compositions prevent remote access from starting and display an unavailable state instead of silently failing.

Reconnect lifecycle

Paired devices now establish reconnect availability through the hosted relay before resuming workspace subscriptions. The registration flow respects exact session origins and prevents race conditions between relay-visible availability and browser-side reconnect attempts.

Build and development

Shared package sequencing

The development build process now compiles shared workspace dependencies and server-owned UI assets before staging the WebRTC runtime, ensuring deterministic artifact ordering in packaged builds.

Signaling resolution

Local session signaling for .localhost origins now resolves to loopback through the desktop-owned signaling socket without modifying the canonical session origin, enabling localhost-based hosted-transport compatibility tests.
