Terminay v2.2.0 establishes stable application-protocol contracts between server-bundled workspace clients and host environments, enabling Desktop and browser to remain compatible across server versions by running the server's verified bundle.

Server-bundled workspace clients

Protocol-blind host contracts

Defined stable TerminayHostContext, TerminayHostBytePacket, and TerminayHostAction contracts that bind hosts to one server profile and verified bundle. Hosts validate framing and lifecycle but do not decode feature-level operations, maintaining application-protocol compatibility through the selected server's bundle.

Host capability declaration

Established a versioned capability matrix (nativeWindows, nativeMenus, filePicker, clipboardWrite, notifications, updater, osIntegration) with compatibility validation. Bundles declare required and optional capabilities per server version.

Workspace bundle and host binding

UI bundle manifest alignment

Enhanced bundle manifest builder to bind immutable asset inventory to server and protocol versions, minimum execution-runtime requirements, and supported host-bridge ranges. Verified manifest contracts across local server UI, CI bootstrap, and hosted environments.

Desktop and browser host implementation

Bound Electron and web hosts to execute server-matched bundles through the frozen TerminayHostContext. Updated connection managers, shell profiles settings, and workspace routing to align with server-bundled architecture.

Terminal and file interaction fixes

Terminal file drops across hosts

Restored file drop interaction patterns across local and remote terminal windows with consistent filename normalization and linting compliance.

Settings UI alignment

Aligned shell profiles settings display and interaction with unified settings UI styling and visual consistency.

Testing and CI infrastructure

WebRTC compatibility validation

Added isolated and recoverable WebRTC compatibility proofs in CI with proper teardown and load route validation. Verified native WebRTC and Werift TURN routes work across headless environments.

E2E test alignment

Updated connection manager and shell profiles E2E tests to reflect current UI architecture and host binding patterns.
