Sys08 RomTools_0x34 README
The NewRom.lua script and supporting scripts ReadS19File.lua and
RomFiles.lua are used to convert a given S19 file to a VHDL file.
While first written for Sys608, this also works with Sys6801.
The GNU GPL version 2 or higher applies to the NewRom.lua file
and support files.
This code was originally written for Lua version 5.1. The Windows
executable newrom.exe contains a self executing Lua interpreter
and the contents of NewRom.lua. To execute this have the given
support files in the same folder.
For details regarding srlua, get the package from the Lua
projects site.
The example list file Project1.lst and S19 file Project1.s19
assume that you have a 1K byte ROM starting at $FC00 and RAM
starting at $0080. Once you start NewRom it will ask if you
would like some help.
(1) Save the RomTools_NxNN.zip file to your X: drive or BinTools folder
(2) Unzip the file. In the Windows file system browswer, unzip
the contents "here" into the X: drive or BinTools folder
(3) You can activate the BinTools then make use of the tools
>> X:\newrom
NewRom.exe is a self-running executable for Lua, which includes an
interpreter. If your system has Lua already installed, you should be
able to run NewRom.lua if you like
