Sys6801 Project

This is a collection of tools and resources for soft-core systems based on a CPU like that in the MC6801 and MC6803 microcontrollers. The CPU itself is John E. Kent's cpu01.vhd file. John has been a huge inspiration in the development of this project. The assembler and linker are from Alan Baldwin's ASxxxx tools project, which support many other processors as well. Alan has also has been a help.

The materias in this project were first developed for the Computer Systems Lab course that I regularly teach. These materials may be useful to others interested in such softcore processor design.
