Subs.Ext

Rated Subtitles is an application that selectively displays subtitles for audio/video media based on two factors:

1. The user's self-rated proficiency in the media's language.
2. The difficulty rating of each phrase in the subtitle file. A phrase's difficulty can be determined by word frequency in the language or by how clearly it is pronounced in the media.

The goal of this solution is to allow users to watch and listen to media primarily in its original language. However, if certain phrases are rated too difficult to understand or hear, the media player will automatically display subtitles for those specific lines.
Another part of this solution will include extensions for various media players, both desktop and web-based.
