Stop Mac/IPad/SmartPhone_Sleep

This Project is on preventing a macbook or an ipad or smartphones from sleeping, while you're doing a long running task like downloading a file or a video / audio encoding task or disk based tasks.

Solution: Just play a blank screen movie on the quick time player in the foreground, for the duration that you require, while your task is running in the background. Also, maximize this movie screen for very minimal power consumption. Move mouse occassionally to see the play time or press escape to restore screen to normalcy.

I have created some blank screen movies for various durations and uploaded them here. Just press the Download Button above to get them in a zip file.

if you require, movies for more duration, for eg. 10 hours, then play one movie, and combine the others, by drag and drop on to the quick time player. 

Caution: do not leave your devices charging while you run your tasks. Instead charge them fully upfront, before you start them. This will prevent any heating.
