SpatGRIS is a multichannel sound spatializer. The version 3.3.5 is now fully compatible with Mac Apple Silicon M1, M2 and M3. The installer includes all the needed files and software, including ControlGRIS and BlackHole. This new version is Universal (Intel and Apple Silicon). Some Intel users with older machines may need to stay on version 3.2.11. The new version 3.3.5 is optimized for M1, M2 and M3 graphical cards and is quite demanding on Intel processors. Windows users should use the new version. What's new in 3.3.5 — Apple Silicon compatibility — Speaker Setup 3D view is now a separate application: SpeakerView. There are 3 versions of SpeakerView (see SpeakerView ReadMe for details). We recommend SpeakerView Forward but all three versions are included in the SpatGRIS installer. — Windows and MacOS installers come with ControlGris 1.4.3 Recent (3.2.11) — SpatGRIS can handle up to 256 channels — There is a French Manual Recent (3.2.9) — SpatGRIS Player: a new function that allows using SpatGRIS3 as standalone software to play any piece encoded by it to any speaker setup. — Cube mode uses a new algorithm: MBAP (Matrix Based Amplitude Panning). — Cube Mode : Attenuation Settings have a Bypass toggle button. — Mute and Solo are now saved respectively either with Projects or Speaker Setups. — Speaker Setup Edition in Cube and Hybrid modes : added a Global Sound Diffusion slider. It influences how a speaker setup spreads the sound of sources into the space. — Speakers' position is allowed in the negative part of the Z-axis. Recent (3.1.9) - Hybrid mode: This mode is a DOME mode, which means the speaker setup must be a dome (if not, it will be converted) within which the sources can be moved according to the Cube behaviours. It is then possible to move the sound inside or outside the dome speaker setup. - "Show numbers" has been split into "Show Source Numbers" and "Show Speaker Numbers The manuals (English-French) are included within the software in the Help menu, but there are separate versions available here if you need them. The SpatGRIS can/should be controlled by the OSC plugin ControlGRIS, also available here. The version 1.4.3 is now available. SpatGRIS and ControlGRIS are Mac (from 10.15 Catalina to 14 Sonoma) and Windows 10-11 compatible. There is a QuickStart guide for those who want to test it rapidly. We also provide two patches for those who own an iPad: one for Open Stage Control and one for Lemur with an independent manual. Comments are welcome.
