This is the second and last release of Soundbench Alpha. All following releases will be Betas.

This version adds many new features, including:
The ability to load MIDI files.
The ability to export a piece of music from those MIDI files.
The ability to control the maximum number of notes the program may play at once.
A CPU meter on *nix.
An adjustment to the sound generator which slightly reduces the clicking that's heard when a note is started or stopped.
  The above will be fully fixed in version 0.3.0.
