In 6PANview.4 version we have included the following features and enhancements. - This is first time we are releasing 6PANview for Contiki OS. - We have provided web interface for monitoring. - The monitoring activity scheduling is new in this release. The scheduler takes into account busy periods of application traffic, and schedules the monitoring traffic during relatively idle times. The details of the algorithm can be found in the NCC 2012 conference paper titled "6PANview: Application Performance Conscious Network Monitoring for 6LoWPAN Based WSNs". The paper can be downloaded from http://ieeexplore.ieee.org/stamp/stamp.jsp?tp=&arnumber=6176753 - More SNMP monitoring parameters have been added. These include packet drop count, overall network performnace metrics such as percentage of good, bad, average links, and parent switching rate, have been included the web interface. - Many bugs from the previous release have been removed. - We tried to improve the installation process and included a user-friendly Installation guide. - Our lightweight snmp agent implementation has resulted in our contribution to the the network management section of currently active Internet draft, "Guidance for Light-Weight Implementations of the Internet Protocol Suite", draft-ietf-lwig-guidance-02. Those interested in the approach are encouraged to read this draft.
