The SBM provides a free interactive 3D visualization tool of essential human brain structures.
Most of the 3D models are derived from the BodyParts3D (BP3D) Database, developed by the Japan’s Database Center for Life Science.
BP3D is an exceptionally comprehensive collection of anatomical models that, despite its remarkable scope and value, has received disproportionately little attention to date.
Further models were reconstructed from the Allen Human Brain Atlas and the Morel Atlas of the Human Thalamus.
SBM is developed for educational and entertainment purposes by means of Unreal Engine version 5.7.
Structures of the right brain can be viewed from any angle, the anatomical nomenclature of the structures can be displayed, and the structures can be sequentially removed layer by layer.
All 3D Models, Unreal Engine, and SBM are free for non-commercial use.
