August 22nd 2026 there are two files. 1.- Setbacklight.pet.- @ozsouth original.- "This is a variation on the setbkl script I 've used for some time. Probably won't work for everyone. Puts an entry in Utility menu. Allows you to select screen brightness in 10% increments (10-100). Default is 60%." 2.- Setbacklight 1.1 improved.pet @pp4mnk modded. I updated the original package with the improved version. Download setbacklight-1.1-improved.pet Improvements included: Automatically detects any backlight controller. Prioritizes the native raw interface. Displays the current brightness percentage. Preselects the level closest to the current brightness. Correctly calculates levels from 10% to 100%. Prevents the brightness from accidentally being set to 0. Validates the values provided by the system. Shows clear messages if no device is found or permissions are insufficient. Compatible with /bin/sh, Puppy Linux, and EasyOS. PET checksum successfully verified. OPEN TO TEST, IMPROVE AND COLLABORATE. ESPAÑOL.
