Plaguing school therapists at least once every school year is the scheduling of their students. School therapists include speech-language pathologists (SLP), occupational therapists (OT), and physical therapists (PT). Scheduling their often large caseload is a problem that has been vexing school therapists for many years. School therapists can have caseloads ranging from as few as 50 to as many as 150 students. Scheduling a caseload of this magnitude has become very difficult for therapists. Meeting the required criteria and conditions of the student as well as the therapist makes the conditions for scheduling within the educational environment all the more difficult. To solve this problem, this program uses the simulated annealing algorithm and a group based GUI to ensure a user friendly, yet functional interface.
