Search and Rescue teams need to be absolutely sure that Lat/Lon coordinates are relayed to them in the intended coordinate system, as listed here with some common abbreviations:
1. decimal degrees (DD Dd D.d)
2. degrees and decimal minutes (DMH DMm DM.m)
3. degrees, minutes, and decimal seconds (DMS DMSs DMS.s)
Given a series of digits, regardless of the format that you were initially told, SAR Buckshot lists the possibilities in all three Lat/Lon coordinate systems, and creates markers for all possibilities in SARSoft (sarsoft.org / caltopo.com).
SAR Buckshot is a Python script built for Python 3.4.2 and PyQt 5.5.
