Rubens Microtonal Organ is a rewrite of the old Microtonal Organ. It uses the same tuning database, now as a standalone app using the fluidsynth installation directly, no longer relying on Max and externals. You will find an app compiled on Max Osx 15.7. and source code used with Xcode. This instrument project was stranded for years, but has now been restored by ChatGPT.

The R-udp-player is a fluidsynth player created as a microtonal playback app for Ircams Open Music, version 6.10 or later. Some settings need to be done in Open Music for this to work: In the midi settings of Open Music, choose 'osc-scoreplayer' as the default scoreplayer and check the option 'force score player'. R-udp-player is available as Max 8 patches and standalone apps. On others systems you will have to use the included max patches. Make sure you install the 64-bit fluidsynth object in the folder 'dependencies'. You can then save a standalone app for your own system. If the app is damaged, follow this guide: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6fqzb4qpgcs Use terminal: xattr -cr [drag in the file] Do not move the app or patch out of the folder, otherwise it won't find the necessary files. By default, there are 20 instruments playing 1/16-tones. It's easy to add more instruments editing the Max patch.
